Nutella Pinwheel Cookies

19 Dec

These tasty little treats are adapted from a recipe I found on the Tasty Kitchen website by user “ABusyNest”.

Time: 10 min prep + chill, 10 min cook         Serves: 20

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup Nutella

How to make it

  • Cream butter and sugar. Then, beat in egg and vanilla. In another bowl, combine flour & baking powder and slowly add into wet ingredients. Place dough between two sheets of waxed paper and roll out into rectangle. Remove top sheet of paper and spread the dough with Nutella. Roll dough tightly into a cylinder. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and put in fridge for at least 2 hours or until ready to bake.
  • Preheat oven to 375F. Cut dough into 1/4 inch slices and place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 10 minutes or until edges begin to brown lightly.
