Pineapple Sage and Citrus Grilled Chicken

I discovered pineapple sage at the farmers’ market last summer & came up with this tasty, quick dish. A couple weeks ago I accompanied one of my friends when she purchased herbs for her garden and encouraged her to add pineapple sage into the mix, can’t wait for her to try it!

Time: 10 minutes + marinate           Serves: 4


  • 2 tbsp orange zest
  • juice of 2 navel oranges (about 1 cup)
  • juice of 2 limes
  • 3 tbsp pineapple sage, roughly chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • sea salt & black pepper, freshly ground – to taste
  • 1 pound chicken tenders

How to make it

  • Combine first 6 ingredients in a medium-large sealable bowl. Mix well. Add chicken tenders. Marinate in fridge for at least 1 hour and up to 6 hours. Grill for about 5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
