21 Jun

Our favorite deli serves this during the summer and it we cracked the code & now can enjoy it at home anytime 🙂 Perfect for a hot & steamy day like this one!

Time: 10 minutes +chill          Serves: 8

  • 12 cups water
  • 1 bunch mint leaves (about 100-120 leaves)
  • 1/2 cup simple syrup (optional, more/less to taste – may sub honey or agave nectar)
  • optional: fresh squeezed lemon juice, mint for garnish

How to make it

  • In a pot that can be covered, bring water to a boil. Remove from heat and add mint leaves, tearing roughly as adding. Let steep for 5-10 minutes. Strain leaves out. Add simple syrup. Mix well & allow to cool at least to room temp before pouring over a tall glass of ice.
